On NEWGROUNDS?

He's doing something!

Ah, progress. I'm finally working on a project. One that I have had on the back burner for too long. I've picked up a bunch of "How to Draw ______" books, and I'm strenuously taking notes on the Flash tutorials that are offered here on Newgrounds. Many thanks to those who took the time to make them.

Anyways, I have the story fleshed out. It will be three parts, but will likely start in the middle. Y'know, with a prequel and a sequel. I've got a screenplay ( if you call it that ) of the first episode written out, and I may put it up here, though I wouldn't want to spoil it.

As a quick overview, the story chronicles a woman ( whom I refer to as Ivy, though it may not be revealed in the film ) who starts out unlucky, and makes some decisions that are life-changing. Decisions no person should have to make. It is a depressing story, so I know it's not usual NG fare.

As for animation?

I hope to rival Fallen Angel for animation clarity, but would like to add my own flair. Specifically, a change in the atmosphere when things happen to my main character. It becomes saturated when she gets pissed, etc.

Lastly, they do not have sound effects or vocals, so don't offer me your voice. I won't need it. However, they do have songs associated with them. To help set a mood, I have listed the songs used.

Listen to:

"Holiday" by The Scorpions

"Knights of Cyndonia" by Muse

"Just Like You Imagined" by Nine Inch Nails

( The songs are in order from the beginning of the story to the end. )

I hope to release the first part by Late Spring, so see you then!

I'm afraid I have gone to the realm of audio, straying from any thoughts about Flash movies. Anyways, here's a video to pacify you while I change my Newgrounds position.

.

What a dumbass.

So, I just caught up with the new Halo 3 weapon, the Spartan Laser: "The M6 Spartan Laser is a shoulder-mounted direct energy weapon used by the UNSC. It fires an extremely powerful red laser capable of destroying vehicles and infantry with one accurate strike. The Spartan Laser will charge for three seconds before firing its powerful and destructive burst.

When the trigger is pulled, a harmless red dot is projected on the target and a unique targeting tone is emitted. The Spartan Laser will then charge for three seconds[4] before firing a massive blood-red laser beam that completely destroys the target. However, if the reticule is moved while firing, a scattering of beams will be released, spreading over the targeted area."

Damn, this weapon looks like a good one. Although that needler looks like crap, which is a bit of a downfall.

He had finally made it to the gas chamber room. With the onlookers now running away, he had to make the choice. Time had become encapsulated along with the parameters of his world. Minutes, seconds, nano-seconds, all counting down on the captive's life. He knew he had to act soon. The clock was running against them. Whether or not he pulled the trigger, they were all running out of time. If he made the kill shot and the captor's hand jerked, the blade would rip home anyway, but he knew if he held out much longer, the hostage would be dead from lack of air.

He didn't even contemplate missing. Missing was not a word in his vocabulary. He'd been doing this for the better part of his life and his target was already good as dead. He gave a wry twitch at his choice of word. No longer a man, but a target. The day he started thinking of his targets as people, he might as well book his room in the asylum.

The story is under construction. Like it?

Something Wishful

Alright, I need to make a wishlist for Newgrounds. Although nobody important will even reach this page, here goes.

- Working the overtime should allow some type of reward. Prehaps the experience earned should carry over into the next day, being distributed in ten experience points a day. Or, allowing ten points after twenty-five votes (x5 as much).

- Your forum picture should not be your level, but the smaller user picture that you submitted to Newgrounds. This would make identifying somebody much easier, but may weaken the desire to achieve such a rank. Maybe a "scroll-over" version on our avatar?

I'll add more later. And please, leave me a comment on these ideas!

Leaf Begins First Flash!

Well, I just recieved the mother of all Flash programs. Yes, it's the amazing Adobe program. Seeing as I could only get a somewhat discernable tank to 'tween across the page, my first movie should be done sometime this Winter. The reason I'm going to allow such a gap in time is due to the fact that I don't want stick figures running the show. I'm going to try the best I can to make my first Flash a memorable one.

Yeah, worst hype evar.

Console Wars

Every time I visit a site like YTMND or a forum, there is always a mass of people who think it's ultra important that they remind me of the console wars. Wii is winning! PS3 sucks! Blah, blah, blah. It's video gaming, not politics. Honestly, the only reason it's hardly invaded Newgrounds is due to the intelligence of the people that talk about it could qualify for using Flash (yet, I've been suprised before). I will kill you if you mention my lack of Flash content. Anyways, I'll see you on YTMND. I can create GIF and sound files with ease (After I reset everything).
